How does the project relate to, and build on, areas of interest and strengths you have identified in your developing practice?

As per my bike project I have mentioned in my previous work, I have focused a lot on anatomy and psychology. Food plays a big part of who we are, which is why I’m writing a dissertation on food and art. Although many don't consider liquids food, I get a pass as this drink has a cherry on top. But regardless, as defined in section of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act water is defined as a food, therefore makes all liquids food. Anyway, I think that working on this project, will develop my procreate/digital skills as well as my method of research via questioning/interviewing.

How does the project relate to visual communication practices more broadly and where do you situate the project? E.g. publishing, digital interaction, public engagement, graphic narrative etc.

I would like my final outcome to be an interactive piece for the person I’m making this for. Whether it will be a colour booking, a simple game, a map, a treasure hunt etc.

How will you begin to your research your project? E.g. primary, secondary methods, such as visiting locations, galleries, museums, libraries, archives, public collections etc.

I will research the origin of the shirley temple.

I am also planning on watching the steps it takes to make a shirley temple, as i don't know if its a difficult drink to make, or hard to gather the ingredients, or whatever.

I will make my own shirley temple and ask my friend if that is indeed what he expects what a shirley temple to taste like.

And finally, I am planning to interview bartenders, from here I hope i can understand why this drink isn't popular.
